After two surgeries on my nose, I don't think I will have to go back in today. They still reserved the OR for me today, but Nose Monkey came by and said that they didn't find anything like, oh...FUNGUS, you know, what they were looking for, so really both surgeries were unnecessary, in my humble opinion. I realize that it's a good idea to make sure it didn't go to my brain or eyes, but it's still annoying and Nose Monkey bugs the shit out of me. And he looks like he's 12 years old.
Tomorrow is Andy's birthday (and, he jokingly decided that our anniversary-thingie was on his birthday, too). So here I will be, in my hospital room, for two of the most important dates in "our" year. The royal we, yes. It's almost depressing.
Yesterday, karinablack and her family came to see me and although I was in surgery when they first came by (so says my mom and my white board), they came back baring gifts. I couldn't have them in my room because Birdie was sick, but we talked through my window in broken ASL and it was sooooo lovely. Thank you so much for coming by, it meant a lot to me to just see you and Bill and Bridget through my huge plate glass window. I truly appreciate just getting to see you, although it was probably a failed attempt on your part to come see me. So thank you for coming. :)
Things are looking up. We'll get to the chemo issues when it comes along. Right now, I'm just thankful to be alive post two surgeries and that my mom stayed the night and all that jazz.
Thank you everyone for your continuous support. I don't know what I would do with my friends. :)
