Seattle has been delayed.
Because instead of stalking johnvscancer like I totally planned, as well as meeting Sterling and Heather, I get to head up to another metropolis - OHSU.
You know how some people have dryer monsters that just randomly steal your socks? And you're left with like, one half of a pair? I think I have a platelet monster. I'm still in remission, but my platelets are at 16,000 (most normal platelet counts are about 150,000-300,000). So, with that, I give you:
what should I name my platelet monster?
Or just write in a name!
Oh, the coolest thing ever? I read today in National Geographic that "In 1890 William Osler, founder of modern medical education, pronounced arsenic the best drug for leukemia and today it remains an effective chemotherapy agent for acute forms of the disease."
I asked Dr. Roa. I've never had arsenic. This last part makes me sad.
