I hate Hallmark Holidays.
But today was gorgous! I woke up to sun, and it was beautiful! Everything about my walk to class today was amazing and wonderful. I'm in one of those moods where you view life in technicolor, everything is so real and so alive. I love everything - the way the sun dances through the leaf-less trees, the winter wind nipping at you, dueling the sun for the temp, the early blooming flowers poking out through the dark cold soil - it's all amazingly bright and wonderful and so real and vibrant.
I'm at peace with everything (for the moment).
Today in my Biological Anthropology class, we talked about how the only specimins of early hominids that had been discovered were in South and East Africa. What if there are others waiting to be discovered elsewhere? We won't know until someone goes and digs that shit up. Therefor, I decided today that for my graduate work, I'm going to Africa with a shovel. ... *I* thought it was funny.
Reduced hours. I like it. 17 hours, not bad when you're freaking busylikewhoa.
I read a really great quote on the bathroom stall today: "Don't make someone a priority when you're merely an option." Who'd have thunk you could be enlightened while peeing?
