I was riding the bus today when this kid who looked about 10-12 years old had a plastic toy gun and was shooting his sister and (significantly older) female relative, perhaps an aunt or grandma with it. I got so fed up and annoyed and pissed off that I told him, "You know, it's not funny when someone plays with guns."
"It's just plastic," he said.
"I had a friend who was shot in the Thurston shooting. It's NOT funny."
His sister took the toy away and they got off at the next stop. Eminem was dead-on when he said, "So who's bringing the guns into this country? I couldn't sneak a plastic pellet gun through customs over in London..." Go him.
Noticing my pent up frustration and realizing that it's not subsiding. I might take an LJ vacation for a few days (from this one, prolly not sonnet_m_malfoy, but there's been uber drama over there, you all should check it out, but in a good way) because my past few entries have been nothing but negative, which is not how I enjoy expressing myself.
