So, I'm in a couple of really good classes - poli sci, evolution, etc, and a few questions that have come up have been controversial not because of the question (i.e. "should America have campaign fianance regulations?" etc), but because of the reason these questions are being asked. And the reason is human nature.

It's the fact that goddamnit, humans by nature have such a huge margin of error that we, as the human race, MUST have so many regulations to stay as civil as possible. Civil? That word alone is the iudea of maintaining the rules and regulations of society.

As with campaign fianance regulations, think about it. We have regulations because, withought them, politicians would be elected solely by the party who gave politician X an ungodly about of money.

Fucking politics.
